During my entire childhood my eyes were set on working in healthcare. I have several elementary school papers saved depicting myself in a lab coat and scrubs with a stethoscope hanging around my neck. I pursued my dream and attended the University of Pittsburgh to acquire a bachelor's degree in Health Related Professions, which enabled me to practice as a respiratory therapist. I started my career and additionally acquired a Master's degree in Respiratory Care Leadership. As the years passed, I learned that I did love the medicine, but even more I loved working with my patients. I loved providing one on one education, customized therapy, and working with other healthcare professionals as a team. Then in 2019 Covid hit. My workdays in the hospital changed drastically. It seems our efforts on the front lines were futile. While I prided myself on providing care to my patients to my best ability and also offering compassion to them and family members, Covid took an emotional toll on all healthcare workers. This is when I decided to start the second chapter of my professional career.
After almost 20 years in healthcare helping people at some of the worst times in their lives, I decided I wanted to continue helping people BUT this time during one of the happiest times of their lives. In marrying a general contractor who owns his own business, I discovered my love for remodeling, decorating, and the housing market. Together we have remodeled two houses and subsequently sold them. My favorite hobbies became weekend remodeling projects and scrolling through Zillow just to see what's out there. Our third purchase put us at our present location where we plan to raise our three children through school. This is the same neighborhood in Greensburg where I and my parents were raised. Although I lived in Johnstown and Uniontown areas for short times in my life, I have always felt a draw to Greensburg.
I like to believe my personal experience through the years in buying, remodeling, and selling offer a personal inside perspective. My husband (and perhaps some HGTV personalities) have rubbed off on me and helped me find a hidden talent in envisioning would COULD be in a house and a basic understanding of how to accomplish such. I am looking forward to being able to combine my personal experience with my love of helping others to help you meet your real estate needs in a personalized, compassionate approach.
